H&S Systems
Humanities and Sciences IT supports a variety of administrative applications used across the HSDO and H&S departments and programs. These systems include faculty information systems (HandSOn), funding and financial systems (BPS), and systems that support advising and annual reporting (SFACT, SGS Annual Reports Database), among others. On this page you’ll find information on each of the H&S supported systems along with links to each ServiceNow page for individualized support options.
Budget Planning System (BPS)
The Budget Planning System (BPS) integrates salary and non-salary expense budgeting with various funding sources for H&S Budget Units in support of the annual operational budgeting process.

Graduate Financial Planning System (GFPS)
The Graduate Financial Planning System (GFPS) is a University system used to manage the annual graduate aid budgeting and forecasting process. In H&S, GFPS is used by student services and finance staff in academic departments and the Dean’s Office.

HandSOn
HandSOn is a faculty information system that is used extensively by H&S staff. It is used to track the administrative lifecycle of faculty - from search and recruitment, to academic and administrative appointments, salary setting and budgeting, funding commitments, sabbaticals and leaves, retention, and exit.

HSBI (H&S Business Intelligence)
Faculty and Student Dashboards
The HSBI website includes the Faculty and Student Tableau dashboards. These dashboards provide intelligent data for analysis and decision support. This data set represents a consolidation of H&S data across multiple sources including University systems, H&S applications and standalone data stores.

HandSOn BI Reports
HandSOn BI is an ad-hoc reporting subject area within OBIEE containing data from the H&S faculty information system HandSOn. The subject area primarily contains financial data related to faculty search, recruitment, retention, and funding commitments, along with associated funding sources and destinations.

H&S Drupal Websites Platform
The H&S Drupal Platform is the foundation on which almost all of the school's academic unit websites are built, as well as many centers, institutes, and more.

InfoReady
InfoReady is an online system for collecting, reviewing, and approving applications. In H&S, it is used by GUS to manage application-based graduate fellowships and by Faculty Affairs to manage a sabbatical fellowship program. InfoReady is also used by the School of Medicine and the Office of the Vice Provost and Dean of Research.

OnceHub
OnceHub is the H&S platform used for scheduling appointments and meetings with clients and colleagues. You can use OnceHub to provide visibility into your calendar's availability to people both internal and external to Stanford, and create custom booking pages that provide additional information related to scheduling a meeting.

Oracle Upload Database
The Oracle Upload Database (OUD) is a data and file transformation application used to support H&S Finance's upload and transmission of data to University financial systems.

H&S Salesforce CRM
The H&S Salesforce CRM is a community relationship management application, used to track H&S Department and Program engagement with internal and external communities. This includes contact info, organizational relationships, preferences, event attendance, and educational and work history, all in one central location. H&S CRM is integrated with email communication and contact mapping applications.

SFACT
The Student-Faculty Advisor Course of Study Tool (SFACT) is an H&S application which facilitates the advising process related to individually-designed courses of study. SFACT reduces manual efforts of students and staff associated with maintaining physical documents, providing on-demand visibility into a student's course of study, enabling quicker and easier communication between students and faculty, and providing metrics for course information based on student proposals. The application is currently in use by the Human Biology program.

SGS Annual Reports Database
The Annual Reports Database is an application that tracks the activities, funding, and expenses across the Global Studies Division. This tool facilitates the collection of SGS Program/Center data for use in program assessment and annual reporting.

Smartsheet
The Smartsheet platform can be used to collect and present data and automate workflows to streamline processes and operations. The H&S IT Application Services team supports H&S units with consultations and new implementations, and can provide support for existing H&S implementations of Smartsheet.
