Web Editors Summer 2026 Newsletter: Missing contact information; workgroup changes; training reminder
Some phone, email, and address information may have disappeared from your websites
A recent Sequoia-related update has modified the visibility setting of some email, phone, and work address information in StanfordYou. As a result, that information may no longer be available to display on your websites. To get it back, individuals will have to change the information’s visibility settings in StanfordYou from Stanford-only to Public.

Workgroup administrators may need to be added as members; behavior has changed
In another Sequoia-related update, workgroup behavior has changed. Previously, workgroup administrators were granted the same permissions as members —such as access to Intranet content. That is no longer the case. Administrators must now also be added as members to receive those permissions.
If you’re noticing that a workgroup administrator has recently lost their access privileges, be sure to verify whether they should be added as a member of the workgroup as well.

Lost editing permissions? Take the training!
Did you lose your editing permissions and would like to regain them? Remember that the first step is to take the accessibility training in the Deque platform. Once that is completed, you’ll get your permissions back.
