Sean Brandt

Sean serves as the Associate Director, Application Services, leading a team that delivers and supports software applications for the School of H&S.

Sean is responsible for directing and coordinating the activities of software developers, database, quality assurance, and business systems analysts. In addition to supporting his team’s activities, Sean helps make strategic decisions with respect to the direction of application, reporting, and business intelligence systems within the School. Prior to coming to Stanford, Sean managed the IT department of Lonely Planet Publications Americas office.

Early in his career, as a Cartographer at LP, he created maps for destinations throughout North and South America. Unfortunately, this was from the safety of an office cubicle in Oakland, CA. Outside of work Sean is an avid cyclist and can be found most weekends racing throughout farmlands and office parks of Northern California in the Cat 3 classification.
