As of May 1, University IT has launched Zoom, Stanford's new video conferencing service.
Zoom replaces BlueJeans as the University recommended video conferencing service and is available at no charge to faculty, students, and staff with a full-service SUNet ID.
In a recent campus-wide evaluation, Zoom came out on top with the best ratings from faculty, student, and staff participants for ease of use, audio and video quality, enhanced instant messaging, screen sharing, and whiteboard functions.
Stanford’s BlueJeans service will expire on July 1, so we encourage you to transition to Zoom quickly.
Additionally, University IT has launched a new video conferencing website that includes more details about all of the services, including upcoming Zoom training sessions, video tutorials, and support resources. University IT will be providing more support content and training opportunities through the site during the next couple of months.
University IT welcomes your feedback on how we can improve our support materials and the campus transition to Zoom.
